Dr. Nastasi is the best in NY. Joanne is the best Hygenist I have ever had. I can only speak about experiences. I am sure Dr. Carr and other colleagues are also excellent but I have never had to see them. I have had Dr. Nastasi as a dentist for almost two decades. People have suggested I change but I say "NO WAY!". I will wait the extra 30min. I will wait the few months because he has a lot of patient. I have left New York and came back to him for any major work. There are three reasons I am loyal to my dentist: If you are a good patient and pay all your bills, this would be me, Dr. Nastasi has taken care of my dental needs at discount costs and long-term payment plans out of "trust". He has treated me with the same care in employment and out of employment. How many business providers look out for your health that deeply, and in one of the most expensive cities in the USA to live in? The second reason is that he is always looking at "preventative care". When I followed every instruction he gave to the last detail, I didn't have a cavity or a filling change for almost ten years. If that wasn't enough reason to stay with this practice, the third reason is that his office staff keeps thorough records and he is a diversity welcoming employer and I don't mean "1 person of color" like I have seen in other states. He embraces all his staff the same way he does his clients, with a sense of respect for their needs and humanity (i.e. personal challenges).

I was scheduled for a cleaning and as I sat in the chair and got an Xray , Dr Nastasi tells me that He can't do a cleaning because it hasn't been 6 months since my last cleaning . So he tells me to reschedule and pay a co pay for today's visit. I explained that Its not my fault your office booked me before my 6 month, I asked why would I pay 2 co pays of 36 dollars , when I can pay one co pay for the normal visit that I was scheduled for, He said Its still considered an office visit even if nothing was done, and I have to pay regardless. It was a very unprofessional move on the drs office to make me pay a copay when nothing was done and then ask me to pay it again on my next visit. I don't mind paying for the cleaning, But I have a problem of giving someone money when no work was performed.
