There was a notice that overnight parking restrictions were suspended for metered parking around Christmas time, which I understand, but then when my friend went to get me a parking pass for zone 17, the clerks office said that there was NO NEED for a parking pass and would not issue him one for me. So then I get a ticket of course and since I don’t live in Valley Stream, my friend went to fight it for me and the clerks said, oh we would have been able to dismiss this ticket, but the car is under his Mom’s name, he needs to come down. So I go down to the clerks and they say oh we don’t handle tickets anymore go to 195 Rockaway, so I go and all they say is that the notice was for metered parking only and I can either pay or go to court. So I say, then why did the clerks tell my friend he didn’t need a pass and all he could say was I don’t know what happened with your friend. So basically I was scammed, they say you don’t need a pass so park here, I get a ticket and they say oh you needed a pass too bad. Honestly these people need to get their communications straight across all departments, I should not have to come down from Locust Valley on a work day before 3:45 to get the run around when I should have never gotten a ticket to begin with, I could have very easily parked on the street, but the clerks told my friend specifically that zone 17 was ok to park in. ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE.

They ticket my car when it’s parked in front of my own house from 7am-noon. Really makes me want to move away from this town

Cop think their above the law and can give you tickets for no reason

Another useless form of government, just taking your money and offering nothing but a hindrance into your life.
