Story

Valley Veterinary Associates has been serving clients for over 60 years. The current owner, Dr. Fred Schuler, has been working here for over 20 of those years. We have grown from a small converted house to a state of the art facility designed specifically with your comfort and the care of your pets in mind. While many things have changed over the years, the one thing that has remained consistent is our dedication to providing quality, individualized care and exceptional service to each and every patient and client that we serve.

We are a full service veterinary medical clinic offering wellness, preventative and all stages of life care, from puppies and kittens to geriatrics. We also provide a comprehensive range of surgical, diagnostic and dental care services. Our clean, modern and welcoming facilities feature a vast surgical and dental suite, laser therapy and the support of an in-house lab as well as off-site laboratory for whatever ails your pet. We also offer behavior and nutritional counseling to better manage your pet’s health and happiness.

Our evening and early Saturday hours also make it easier for families to keep their pets healthy and happy. We have had a long time association with the local animal shelter, and many of our doctors and staff have dedicated their time and resources to help local shelter pets so that they can find a loving family of their own.

At Valley Veterinary Associates, we understand that your pet is a part of your family, and we consider you to be a part of ours. We look forward to welcoming you to our office soon and we hope to be able to serve all of your animal health care needs for many years to come!

Highly recommend! All of the Staff is incredible ! They truly care about your furry family member and are sensitive and compassionate toward people. We were not a current customer and we were in desperate need. Our vet was closed and I prayed as I called around to different place to find help. I was led to the right place. Truly they were a God send.

Business first, Animals are secondary. My experience is that Valley has a very nice facility, yet is much more expensive than surrounding veterinarians, and they place an emphasis on making money first, and animal care and customer service are secondary. They have recommended unnecessary tests for my dog in the past, after questioning, admitting that the tests add no value other than to provide a diagnosis. Additionally, they repeatedly overbook. I scheduled euthanasia for my senior dog, I waited over an hour and forty minutes past my scheduled time before they saw me, because the veterinarian on duty was late to the office. The last straw was a request for a minor test. My dog's annual check up was 1 week overdue, they refused to run the test without seeing him first. I moved on, lots of better options out there.

After a death in the family, we took responsibility for a 16 year old cat in terrible health. Took her there to be put down and got racked for a doctor's exam (after we had explained the situation) and a full menu of charges. I guess they assumed we had $350+ dollars to throw away. We've since found a new vet.
