They have the best service ever. The manager here is really friendly too. He might even help you out when it comes to picking out a book. They have plenty of books to choose from.

I love this place. Got an entire wardrobe for my kids for $100! It's great if you don't mind digging. But they have tons of brand name clothes.

I used to find this place a refreshing alternative to the greedy thrift stores such as the Goodwill and Salvation Army. I would visit at least once a week up until about 1-2 yrs ago when It started to go downhill, and now it is no better than the rest. One of the items I would love to find is retro video games and consoles. Suddenly..my luck ran out...ever since. Clearly, they are putting anything decent online or the people in the back are keeping them. The games are now TOTAL JUNK in quality and collectibility. Coincidence? I think not. Also, all their consoles are comically overpriced along with being in poor condition and untested on top of that. Power cords sold seperately. Shady tactics. Then there is the CDs. I noticed CDs of certain musical genres are almost always missing discs. I used to blame customers until I would look at them as soon as the employee put them on the shelf. They come out from the back already missing the discs! Clearly someone in the back is building a rap and R & B collection. Frustrating and shady. How about DVDS? Good luck finding them now. The poor management team in their infinite wisdom went from 4 shelves to cramming all the dvds, cds, and games on 2 shelves (was 1 at one point). Their previously nice selection was replaced with yet more books (they already have like 5 full aisles of them). The stock lady is then instructed to only put out so many dvds, cds, and CRAPPY games a day. At one point they had totally phased out board games in favor of rusty golf clubs or something like that. Bottom line, as the customer, it's your job to buy what they want to get rid of. Everything else has really ballooned in price, especially clothing. You can get nicer NEW clothes at discount clothes stores such as Foreman Mills for less. I don't know what makes Value Village believe $12-15 for a faded shirt they got for free is acceptable. Also, stay away from soap and any beauty products unless you're ok with paying more than retail. On a positive note, this is a fair place to buy coat hangers and random oddball nickknacks. I'd avoid the rest. Sadly, that's what I do now. Greed, SOME dishonest employees, and idiotic managers stunk up what used to be a breath of fresh air.
