This was a horrible experience. Absolutely heart-breaking.. one of those situations you think things can't possibly get worse,  Vansant-Mills made sure of it with Curtis' small-town mindset for biased, self-affirmed drama. This man is a far family member, to make it even more shameful! I'm ashamed to have been forced to be involved with this funeral home upon the tragic death of my brother. Curtis lied to my family and did things illegally. He put his needs first and made it very clear it was only about money for him (never once did we receive condolences) and he started drama in my family.  Many complaints are being made so that his actions are investigated now that my brother's remains are no longer in his custody.

Curtis Mills , the "owner" of this funeral home , was very rude. He did not keep things buisness like , started a lot of drama in my family , said they were lying about things and twisting their words around and even his , he cremated my brother in law before any of us gave consent , he favors one parent over the other if they are divorced. Like one parent can say what the other one can't even though they both have the same rights. He was very un professional and he kept things personal. He constantly interrupted us and turned all of our words around. He had the nerve to ask my fiancè if he was a lawyer because my fiance told him what our rights are. He seemed very ignorant towards the fact that he broke our confidenciality rights. Spilled our info to people that were not supposed to be involved. We started a go-fund-me for the memorial and he stamped it as fraud instantly before we even reached the goal because the last people that a did it screwed him over and so he is taking past experiences to the next.  And he even lied about doing it at first. When the ashes were ready and signed off for , he stuffed my brother in law IN A CLEAR BAG WITH A ZIP TIE ON IT. When we went to the funeral home to talk to him to please stop the things he is doing and got very upset and kicked us out. When the ashes were ready to be picked up , he didn't bother to call my mother in law to pick him up because he was MAD AT HER. Because my mother in law went there the day before and got upset at him over the fact that he cremated him already. He kept things personal and told us that the things were telling him was making him feel disrespected. This is a terrible funeral home.
