VCA Nellis Animal Hospital
I took my sweet pet Geisha here because she had an ear infection.
The veterinary doctor sat on the bare floor with us and checked on her with the tenderness of something i can only qualify as family.

After a previous bad experience of being told to come in to pick up medicine in a few hours, I stated 'aren't you closed then', and I was told no problem they will still be in the office. I knocked on every door and called and nobody would answer. An hour later I left. This left me hesitant. 
Today I tired to call in the morning for a different sick animal and it went to voicemail. I figured they were busy so I just came in a few hours later. The girl that was sweeping told me 'we aren't seeing any more patients'. I stated that I did try to schedule a time to come in but there was no answer. She told me the call forwarding was off at a certain  time and kept sweeping. I showed her my phone that clearly showed my calls to them, and she just shrugged and kept sweeping. After I stood there for a few minutes I stated out loud ' I guess sweeping is more important than my very sick cat'. She looked up and gave me another snide look and said she would not help  me as I was 'rude and disrespectful'. I apologized but told her you work in a animal hospital, so if someone seems curt with you- you should understand the customers' stress, and she shouldn't imply that I didn't call and was lying. I guess showing her proof I called was disrespectful. 
I took my cat across town to another animal hospital where he was seen immediately with no appointment to have blood tests done and get fluids for subcutaneous administration in the meantime. 
VCA clearly didn't care, never asked my name, looked at my records or showed me any respect or consideration of any kind. The 'rude and disrespectful' party here was VCA. Not seeing more patients was a disappointment but not the problem. 
I apologized for any perceived rudeness, but after standing there for 5 minutes MY apology never came. I guess I'll transfer my 3 animals to the place that treated me kindly. Thanks VCA Nellis for adding to my already stressful time.
