One of the best dive bars in the city, without a doubt. Definitely not everyone's flavor but if you're down with a healthy dose of degeneracy and a good crusty atmosphere you'll absolutely love it here. It certainly doesn't look like it on the surface, but this is the only bar in the city that I've never once felt unsafe in - everyone looks out for everyone else and anyone who decides to cause trouble is promptly handled. Parking: Plenty of parking on weekdays, weekends you'll never have to walk more than half a block.

Even though this isn't my favorite place, if you're looking for a genuine Riverwest dive bar with friendly patrons and a great karaoke show, this is the place. I think it's not the place for me because I don't drink, and people likely will be drunk here and there is a boozy smell everywhere. It takes a minute to adjust, and I'm sure it's a faster adjustment period if you knock back a few.
loved this place when i visited Milwaukee last year. made a point to bring my friend there because we were in town tonight for a special trip, and the bartender brown hair and beard guy turned us away. he accused us of having fake ID’s which was 100% not true i’m 26 and she’s 23, our ID’s are REAL and he was just so rude for no reason as soon as we walked in. wish we could have enjoyed this bar tonight because i had a great time before that. probably won’t be back though.
Very accepting of every kind of existing. The only public place I actually feel comfortable, no matter what. Protective of women. If it wasn't here, I wouldn't go out. I like the employees and can relax after any major trauma in my life.
Great corner bar. Nice selection of pinball. People are friendly, ask Craig about his hot sauces. Tasty.
Been drinking here since I was sixteen or so and it's still got that burst my cherry vibe. A dive, yes, but one of my favorites. Nice to see it returning to its roots.
