I have been going to Dr. Bratman for many years, and recommended him long before the internet even existed. He's calm, professional, very gentle / painless, and will only do what you need - he won't "up-sell" you anything don't need. Classic, careful dentistry at competitive prices. His longtime assistant, Judy, is also very friendly, well-informed and helpful. Call them first to find out which insurance they accept. But even if you need to pay it yourself, this is the place to go. Usually I only need cleaning or an occasional refurbishing of an old filling, but I also had 2 teeth extracted here when I had braces. Dr. Bratman did that quickly and painlessly - it was almost fun! Over the past year I also had some tooth & gum sensitivity, and Dr. Bratman had some simple solutions for that that worked right away :) This past weekend, my roommate had excruciating pain from an old broken tooth, so I gave her Dr. Bratman's number. It was a Saturday, and though they do have some Saturday hours, they weren't in right then. Dr. Bratman did call my roommate back though, assessed her situation, and they all agreed to a Monday appointment. So today, my roommate went in first thing, had preliminary work done for a root canal, and came home a couple of hours later, pain free and fresh as a daisy. She kept calling Dr. Bratman "a magician!" She agreed that it was virtually pain free. She still needs to finish the root canal, so I'll update this later. So, if you're looking for a Westside dentist, or even a great dentist anywhere in LA - try Dr. Bratman. You'll save yourself some pain for sure!
