Had another incredible dinner at Verde. My wife and I had our second dinner here a couple weeks ago and were just reminiscing about how wonderful the food was and decided we had to leave a review. We shared the cauliflower and beans & rice starters, I had the pork shoulder, and she had the bison short ribs. The beans & cauliflower starters were both fantastic and my pork shoulder was the best pork I think I’ve ever eaten, seasoned & cooked perfectly. The short ribs were also incredible, but I only got a small bite since my wife was enjoying them too much to let me have more than that. We’ll definitely be back for more!
Received a gift card for Christmas! OMG this place was phenomenal! The food and service was off-the charts good!! Will be going back without a doubt. The menu is small but definitely carries a punch. The chef changes the menu every so often. I recommend making reservations also!Food: 5/5
Verde is a modern, upscale take on Mexican cuisine. My husband and I got the beans & rice, esquites, shrimp ceviche, and the cajetas dessert. Everything was outstanding! Each dish was a unique combination of flavors that all worked together so well! So glad to have a good Mexican restaurant in the QC & will definitely be back!
I have to give another review because we had the pleasure of dining at Verde tonight. The menu was fixed so even though the cauliflower wasn’t on the menu, it was magnificent. The hostess was friendly and very attentive. Eduardo was our waiter. He was kind and did his job well. Our drinks were always refilled quickly. Our son lives in Austin, foodie central. He was very impressed with the quality of Verde. Thank you to all of the employees. You’re doing an awesome job! Parking: We have always found a spot to park right in front of the restaurant.
Had a great family meal there over the weekend. You can tell that they have invested in the menu. Everything tasted great. A must try is the Al Pastor. This will be a regular done out spot for us.
Wow! This place is exceptionally good. We just recently went to Pujol in Mexico City which is the best restaurant in North America and has an episode on Chefs Table on Netflix. I have to say that this place was completely on par with that level of deliciousness and quality. We had the fish tacos, lamb barbacoa tacos and shrimp ceviche tostadas. The food was so vibrant, so fresh and amazingly delicious. It was a meal that absolutely delighted and we can not wait to return.
One of my local favorites! Hidden gem in Iowa, best high class Mexican restaurant that’s better than if you were to go to Mexico. I eat at Verde about once a week. With the Rice and Beans and Pork Carnitas are a go to. As far as the rest of the items on the menu, you cannot go wrong even with the carrots! The deserts are very vibrant in both presentation and taste. On a special note if you so happen to come down and see Carne de Papas on the menu, although pricey I strongly recommend any lover of steak to try. Chef Connor's experience with steak shows with every bite. Absolutely next level flavor and personally one of the best steaks I've ever had.
What a gem in Bettendorf! High quality, inventive and delicious food! We shared 3 appetizers carrots, rice and beans, and corn and they were all excellent. We each had an entrée and we loved the salmon, steak and pork! The dessert was a real standout, with a caramelized goat cheese panna cotta, blackberries and yuzu basil gelato! Full bar with wonderful drinks plus great 0.0% options! Cant wait to go back!
The waiter recommended the cauliflower appetizer. I would not have ordered it, but it did not disappoint. The pork shoulder was outstanding, you could have cut it with a fork. The dessert was excellent, but you need to keep an open mind. They're not standard desserts but they're soooo good. Worth every penny! I'm not a tequila fan but the classic old fashioned was spot on.
