Veterinary Emergency Urgent Care and Referral Clinic of York Region is a 24/7 emergency clinic dedicated to providing the best care for you and your pets. We offer a variety of services, including: surgery, in-house lab work, digital radiology, ultrasound and more. We always have qualified veterinary staff on site to meet your needs. Appointments are not necessary, but a call ahead can help us prepare for your arrival.

I've been taking my two dogs here for about two years now. It's a little out of the way from where I live, but you do what you gotta do to get the best care for your pups. I originally checked it out because they had great reviews on Yelp, and I definitely agree with every great thing I read! The staff at this clinic is so wonderful, they always are so welcoming and friendly. My pup began having some stomach issues with the food she had eaten all her life, so the doctor suggested we switch her to a brand with a different mix and she has had no issues since. Love this place! Love Dr. Malik.

I feel so fortunate to have had Dr Malik care for my pets during extremely stressful emergency situations. I found him to be very professional, thorough and knowledgable . Our puppy's severe allergic reaction to bee stings and our elderly cat's major heart problems were dealt with compassion and great care. We found the staff at the hospital to be equally warm and supportive. It's a long trip from our home to The Veterinary Emergency Clinic of York Region but Dr Malik certainly makes it worth the trip.

Dr. Malik is extremely rude and unprofessional. When asked about a certain medication someone had suggested to me not only did he get extremely upset but spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner infront of all his staff. We have brought my dog here numerous times and spent thousands of dollars. He is nice when he needs to take your money but very rude when you question or ask about a certain medication. I am 8 months pregnant and extremely concerned for my dogs well being all I wanted to do was inform him about a certain medication someone suggested. He could have simply explained to me why he thought it wasn't suitable instead he made me feel horrible. Thank you Dr. Malik for a horrible experience.

This past year there have been numerous events that have lead me to bring my hyperactive Vizsla puppy and elderly cat to Dr. Malik. Each visit I felt as though my concerns and my pets care was always treated with the utmost respect, kindness and seriousness. Additionally each visit was ALWAYS accompanied by a phone call from Dr. Malik checking in on my pet. I have appreciated and felt comforted by all the care and help I have received from both Dr. Malik and his team, and will continue to bring my pets to this clinic and recommend it to others as well.
