Story

Victor Valley Global Medical Center (VVGMC) a 101 bed acute care facility that was originally founded in 1967, is Governed by a Board of Directors and is fully accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program and the California Medical Association. VVGMC offers a full range of health care services, from primary acute care and highly specialized regional services to outpatient services and wellness education programs.

On October 16, 2012, VVGMC was purchased by KPC Global and began an exciting journey. Our dedication to quality in our community's healthcare has never changed and with the receipt of the 2011, 2012 & 2013 Healthgrades Maternity Care Excellence award, coupled with the 2011, 2012 & 2013 Gynecologic Surgery Excellence award, VVGMC is placed in the top 5% in the nation among healthcare providers.

Recently VVGMC transitioned to a new name and a renewed vision of being the premier healthcare facility in the High Desert. We look forward to our partnership with the community, the physicians, and other providers in ensuring our community remains strong and healthy.

I thought that I had reviewed this facility before. But I do not see my review. The staff at this hospital saved my life. I suffered cardiac arrest from a heart attack...one which many medical professionals, including my sister who is a nurse educator, told me that very few people make it back from. The staff at this hospital performed CPR on me until they got my heartbeat back. Between the clinic, the ambulance and this hospital, we have estimated that CPR was performed on me for 45 minutes before I came back. My brother told me that it really stood out to him that I seemed to truly matter to those who he saw working on me...and he is not easy to impress. I want to say that it sounds to me like this staff, like the personnel in the ambulance and at Kaiser's Victorville clinic, were well-trained and highly capable personnel who took their responsibilities seriously and pulled me not just away from the jaws of death, but out of death's throat. And there is no exaggeration despite the euphemism.

If I could give Zero stars I would! This was my mom's urinary output, after 17 hours in the ER without any IV fluid. Do not bring anyone you care about here. 1. When I got to the ER, my mothers lips were severely chapped and was obviously dehydrated. She was squirming back and forth in pain until they gave her an IV and only until then she finally got to rest. 2. The hospital is VERY UNSANITARY. The patient next to us was getting blood drawn. when they finished, they left the utensils and needle on the table for a good hour before cleaning it up. 3. They Refused to give her anything for her blood pressure, even with my brother and dads permission to do so. Please don't go here!

Very RUDE staff! Uncaring, and couldn't give half a s*** about the patient's welfare. If they don't like they're job, than please, go somewhere else. We need people who will be there for us when we need them.

My Husband was in horrible pain so we came to this hospital: We waited eight hours for them to miss diagnose him. The next morning we had to go to a different hospital because the pain had gotten worse and it turns out he sprained his back. Also, if you are having a miscarriage do not go here!

Worst place I have been to and the sarcasm of the staff is so unprofessional and not needed. The rn asked my father to keep his arm up, when I kindly asked for a pillow in order for him to do to that she sarcastically replied we actually have a pillow shortage. I understand it's a small hospital but if the standard neccisites are not they're is this even a hospital?
