The staff is what really bump this place to the 4 star I have it at. The building it's self, I have to admit, its only a 3 but the people are what make the difference. The owner and his wife are here everyday. Its nice to see him walking, examening his plants in the morning. The rates were fair and I even stayed one extra day.

Checked in after 1am- late night check in is very unclear. Eventually someone comes to help. He only says about two words the entire time and it is very clear he wants me to be quiet. He goes as far as to put the total onto a calculator instead of saying it. 

I finally get to my room- it wasn't dirty, just wasn't nice, ie sink was cracked, wasn't even in the actual bathroom. Overall it was very plain for the price- also only 2 pillows on the queen bed.

I had to leave for an exam at 7 am. Got back around 1030, asked for a late checkout to get some sleep before my drive back to the bay. Was allotted an extra 30 so checkout was 1130. Tried to negotiate and was refused, even offered to pay more for another hour or two.

The rooms are pretty small & they look like they need a little TLC, but overall I see no damn roaches. So its all goodie. Beds are comfortable!!

Affordable motel somewhere between LA and Santa Barbara. Only spent one night and had nothing to complain about. Wifi could have been better,
 but at least it was working at all. (Pro tip: If you like good cofffee, go to Beacon Coffee for breakfast.)

Too close to the highway, therefore, it is not a quite place to relax after a long drive. The area doesn't  look safe. Next time, I would consider choosing something else.
