Dr. Yekta Dianatnejad (AKA Dr. Yekta)  is AWESOME!! She has made going to the dentist a pleasant experience. I used to hate going to the dentist until she became my dentist. She has a great bedside manner and taught me how to have better dental hygiene. Flossing is a must! Dr. Yekta recently helped me out with a few dental emergencies and fit me into her busy schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Yekta.

Villa Dental is a hidden gem around the back of the high rise apartment complex, The Palisades. I was surprised that my first cleaning appointment was actually handled by Dr. Yekta herself, instead of a dental hygienist! She was very friendly, but didn't make me respond during our chat while she had her hands in my mouth (THANK YOU)! 

She did read what I wrote for my dental history, and made sure to be extra careful around my sensitive gums as a result. Overall, it was a thorough, but gentle, cleaning! I'm SO glad to have finally found a dentist who wasn't on a mission to grind my teeth to dust for once.

Inside, the office is newer looking and very clean. The dentist chair is as comfortable as a dentist chair can be, and the overhead light doesn't blind you. The waiting area is small (4 seats), but it's not a busy office and I actually waited alone in peace before my appointment. The front desk staff is polite and very "with it" - I had no problems giving my insurance info and scheduling appointments.

Outside, the office is only marked by a small "Villa Dental" red plaque by the front door. It is between the Sabre Hospitality office and the entry/exit to the (paid) parking garage. There is also metered street parking by the door. Additionally, it is a straight ~10 minute walk from either the Medical Center or Bethesda Metro stations.

Note: Be careful when driving to this office - the street right now (as of 06/14/17) is a bit hectic with 2 construction jobs happening across the street AND across the corner for the new Police Station and (presumably another) apartment high rise.
