Story

Village Hardware has been in the Village of Oak Creek since 1984. Founders, Ron and Dolores Puchi moved from Chicago and built the Village Hardware from the ground up.

In 2015 Joel and Jill Zaske, owners of Verde Valley Hardware in nearby Cottonwood purchased the store from the Puchi Family.

This Ace has a comprehensive selection of hardware goods as well as being a factory dealer of Stihl power equipment.  Be advised, however, that they are a busy location, and even with a full staff attending, you might have to que up a few minutes.  The Ace Rewards program is honored here and the points add-up.  Use it to your advantage.

It is nice having a well stocked hardware store right here in the Village. It has saved me from making long drives endless times over the last 13 years. Since the new owners took over they have more items, more organized and the prices are better than what they used to be. They have a great selection of garden supplies and plants which includes some organic plants. No bad experiences to report and they are always friendly and helpful.

Surprised at the negative reviews. I've only had positive experiences at this store and was actually telling my wife that I was really surprised by the amount of inventory they have in little rollers/screws/springs etc for such a small'ish store. Found stuff there I couldn't find at Home Depot. There's also usually someone there when you walk in asking if you need a hand finding anything.

Unfortunately... racist people work at this Ace, yikes! An old man in store starts talking about former President Obama in typical, racist way & the two workers behind counter (an old-ish woman with glasses and middle aged male with glasses) start laughing then old guy walks behind a brown woman of unknown race standing in line & says loudly "we need to bring back good, old-fashioned lynching" - they all laugh together. Crazy in the 21st century- even for the Village of Old Creeps, just weird. The brown woman was so graceful about it but did shove the door open as she left.
