The food was delicious but our server Ashley had major attitude from the beginning to the end! She was very short with her tables. We thought it was us but when we focused on her other tables and they got the same messed up attitude and awful service! I had to ask another waitress for a to go tray because Ashley never came back to our table. We didn't even know she had put our ticket on the table due to the lack of communication and she put the whole party on one ticket. Again the food was great but the service sucked! I came all the way from Georgia and told everyone about this place for breakfast and we all came but just the luck of the straw we got the short end with Ashley bring our waitress!
If I could give this place a zero rating I would. Terrible service. I thought the customer was always right? In this case, the manager was rude. She didn’t even try to help make things right. Instead they made me pay for my meal a second time even though they messed up my order. The omelets are just scrambled eggs with extras in them. Ours had egg shells in them. The garden bed veggie omelet is drenched with red sauce and cheese. Not sure how that’s a veggie omelet. When you order for pickup be sure to ask for them to list every ingredient in your meal because they won’t tell you and they won’t confirm if you want a specific ingredient in that meal or not. Again terrible service and the manager should be ashamed that she treats her customers this way.
I always have a wonderful experience here. The manager personally greets everyone who walks in, and she is such a sweetheart. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server, Katie. Katie was also very sweet. She was attentive and made sure our dining experience was amazing. The portions are huge, and food is always hot and delicious. Wonderful establishment.
I received the $10 off gift card for Village Inn in the mail. It has a date range of Oct 1 through Dec 31 2024. However, after going to several locations - Virginia Beach, Suffolk, and Chesapeake - I was told that the card was not accepted at ANY of the Village In locations in Southeast Virginia. Why would I get this in the mail if I am unable to use it? I wanted to actually go into a Village Inn location and patronize the establishment, so I didn’t think to use the coupon code on the actual Village Inn website. This is horrible for patrons who would like to come into your restaurants and give you business as well as those who want to give tips to the waitresses. Make a change and place the actual locations where the coupon card mail outs are valid. Update: Attempts to use the gift card for an online order has a disclaimer that you would still need to call the locations and get them processed over the phone at the local Village Inn. With the managers and employees at each location saying they aren’t valid there, how are customers supposed to really get these things processed? ATTENTION GUESTS - AT THIS TIME, ALL GIFT CARD PAYMENTS HAVE TO BE PROCESSED AT YOUR LOCAL VILLAGE INN LOCATION. IF YOU WILL BE USING A GIFT CARD FOR PAYMENT, PLEASE CALL THE STORE DIRECTLY TO PLACE YOUR ORDER 757 410-3551. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS AND SUPPORT!
Skip the pie here. My food was great, friendly service. My cutlery came with dried food in. That happens. But the pie? Burnt. I really don’t eat pie but since it’s touted as ‘America’s Best’ on the Table display and my server said it was free pie Wednesday I chose the cherry pie. The dark crust’s bitterness overwhelmed the filling. My sever - very nice and attentive - suggested that it might be the cherry and gave me a slice of apple to go. I’m sure it was just a one-of but probably wouldn’t have served it free or not.
I really enjoyed my visit here for breakfast and most certainly plan on dining here again! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable and homely! There were so many options and I was unsure of what to get but our server was very helpful in explaining the different options. The skillet I ordered contained turkey sausage, potatoes, and eggs, with a side of pancakes. The food was amazing and the portion size was very good for the price! I highly recommend this place!
Came Upon The Village Inn after my husband's appointment, the food was delicious the atmosphere was wonderful and you can eat anything that's on the menu 24 hours a dayFood: 5/5
We live far away from Village Inn, but the long drive is worth it. They have a big menue to pick your meal from and reasonable prices. The portions are big enough and their pies are so delicious. They have a pie for every taste. The staff is always extremely friendly and attentive. Cozy atmosphere, but can get crowded at their 'free pie with your meal-day', of course. I love their crepes with fresh strawberries.
Great customer service with a smile. Friendly and welcoming greeting. Great food. Competitive prices. Disabled parking and ramp at the front door. Plenty of parking. We were acknowledged as soon as we arrived. Made us feel important.
It's a very traditional diner type restaurant with extremely delicious pies I've been going there for years. Best lemon meringue in the area The food is also very good, but oh those pies! And breakfast all day! Kid-friendliness: Free lollipops at checkout Great childrens menu
