Village Pet Spa is a full service grooming salon, boarding facility and doggie daycare that has been serving our community's pet care needs since 1985. They were awarded 2017 Record Journals Best Of for pet grooming!

Story

our boarding fees include walking when needed and treat time is not an extra fee...medications are also included...our fee is $ 30.00 per day and with two or more $ 27.00 a day each...our cats stay in spacious condominiums for $ 18.00 a day...and of course grooming can be arranged during your stay! we are now open mon - sat for our grooming customers

I am writing this review as a rebuttal to Bailey's "review". Bailey's comments should be removed. They admit in the first sentence that they have never utilized Village Pet Spa's services and that their information is second hand. That is irresponsible reporting and slander. I would like to follow up with a first hand account of what it's like to be employed by Village Pet Spa. I was employed at VPS and still would be if I hadn't found a position better suited to my families needs. Gary and Rod are wonderful people, employers, and animal lovers. They are beyond fair to their employees, and run an ethical establishment. They are knowledgeable and creative in their grooming department and their boarding facility is the cleanest and most well regulated I've seen.

I love this place! My two dogs go for both boarding and grooming and each time they can barely contain their excitement when we pull into the driveway. They like their vacations as much as we do! And when we pick them up they're fresh and clean with great haircuts and trim nails. We never worry about them when we're gone. We know they are in great hands!

It was OK but my dog relieved to so soon as he got in the car he's never done that before so I believe he wasn't taking outside

OK yes, the staff was very friendly and professional. I've taken my 1 and a half-year-old shi tzu, there about three times so far. I take her consecutively every three weeks. This last past week, I gave specific instructions just to trim her body down, the owner clearly stated, he can't do that because she would be uneven? And wouldn't be not symmetrical. LOL ! I I DID not, want to have her topknot trimmed or especially her tail! I gave clear written instructions what to do and they did the complete opposite and cut her the way they wanted her to .. I'm extremely disappointed. !! Moreover , The owner, stated that my dog had a horrible coat !! I paid top dollar from very highly reputable breeder in Boston. In fact, I even met the parents of the dogI purchased. The owner stated,, he had clients that that went to a pet store and had a better dog?? Wow ! Ok thanks !!
