Lived in the Sliding hill area for years and enjoy trying other restaurants that have beer on draft. My wife and I came here this past Saturday night. We ate inside the restaurant and had a pleasant time. The food was great but the beer seems to be a little overpriced. I was hoping to get a Tall yuengling but they only have regular sized drafts. Their price of $6 for a regular size yuengling is usually what I pay for a Tall yuengling somewhere else.
We have been searching for decent pizza since we've moved to Ashland almost 3 years ago and we finally found somewhere that we will definitely try again. The pizza was good. It was well cooked. The server was nice and the bartender was very knowledgeable. We ended up with a half cheese, half pepperoni and an order of limoncello cake. Both were big hit at our table. It was nearly empty when we got there but about 45 minutes in it started to fill up. We never felt rushed or pressured and the service stayed consistent. All around a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Ispoke in here to try out a new place. Food was tasty. But the portions for the high price was way small. Note the size of my fork in the pasta. Nice waitress. Over all good... if you like spending alot for less than normal. All the other Italian places around this one have bigger portions.
Second time getting take out and while I was impressed with the pizza for the first time, I was disappointed this time. We ordered the "steak" stromboli, and even though I should have known better, I expected more quality beef than steak-umm meat. It's advertised as having onions and green peppers, of which there were few, but there WAS lots and lots of cheese. And, it was a smaller portion than we usually get from other places. Still enough for two people. The worst part? It was burnt! I do not want my food, much less a bread product, blackened unless I request it. To sum it up, Vinny's is a speedy, but so-so, Italian place. I may try it again but it will be a while.
Decided to try Vinny's tonight...so glad we did! Stacy is a DELIGHT, the salad was fresh and pizza was good, prices reasonable $21 for large everything pizza Will be going back soon!
Tried there tonight for the first time, ordered 12" extra cheese and pepperoni. Pizza was 6/10, lots of basil in their pizza sauce and there was not extra cheese on the pie, Greek spaghetti 7/10 only because it did not have the fresh tomatoes in it that it was supposed to have. I have cherry tomatoes I have been growing in my garden, add those and it was delicious. Kids Alfredo was 9/10 really creamy and plenty of cheese. Lemoncello cake was a joke $6 for a tiny tiny piece of cake. With all the other pizza options in the area I will not be returning.
Wonderful dinner after a full day of fun at King's Dominion. Kids say it's the best pizza they had in a long time. They have several vegetarian pizza options. Service was friendly and super fast on the Thursday night. The whole family wants to visit again soon.
This was my first time at Vinny's and it was Friday night. They are open until 10:30. I've never been to any Vinny's and will not go again. As soon as we were given the menus, we were asked if we had decided on what we wanted. We hadn't even been asked if we wanted anything to drink yet. I would have enjoyed the food except the server continuously came to our table every 5 minutes wanting to know if we wanted anything. We weren't even there 20 min when she asked me if I wanted a box! I hadn't even begun to eat. This is not an exaggeration. After less than 1 hr, we gave up trying to eat in peace and I asked for a box. We were given a check, but continued to have a conversation at the table. Then a different server came, extended his arm while holding a check and asked us if this were our check! We had ours at the table. He came back and said can you pay your check because the server needs to leave. Mind you, the restaurant was 3/4 full and it was now 8:15 pm. We were rushed from the moment we sat down at 6:45 pm until we walked out the door. If our server had to leave, then why would the manager seat us at that table? I am quite dumbfounded by this establishment and their practice of hounding the customer so much so they can't enjoy their food and want to get out of there.
I would be ashamed to send this home for someone to eat. I also ask for no green peppers and of course it was full of them, not edible. Never will I go to Vinny’s again, unless I want burnt food.
Delicious!!! Great size portions for the price. Everything was a hit with the family!
