Some may think 'museum' is a misnomer for this place, but it really is a rare collection of vintage synthesizer beauties worthy of the title. the rooms are filled wall to wall with synthesizers, electric pianos, drum machines, and effects. They were meant to be enjoyed, and a display wouldn't do them justice. The 'studio time' is extremely affordable for what you get. They have the place set up ready to record just about anything, either with the in-house equipment or your own if you'd like. I was visiting SF for a business trip and was easily able to set up a time to visit. Another reviewer mentioned the website being unhelpful...but it must have been updated since then. My appointment was four hours, but that was hardly enough! The proprietor is very friendly and helpful, and will quickly get you up to speed on any hardware you might not be familiar with. If you're an artist looking to get some authentic vintage sounds for your next project and don't want to break the bank, if you or someone you know loves vintage analog gear, or if you're anywhere in between, do yourself a favor check this place out!

Maybe not have museum in your Google description if you don't have at least a public display of some vintage synth? I was in the area and did a random search for museums. This one popped up and looked cool. Sadly, there is no one there. A very nice guy in the collective area informed me it really is just a recording studio and does not have any displays. 5 stars for marketing ;)

Cool space! Just make sure you enter through the parking lot. The Compound Art Gallery in the front is not the same business. The website is not very helpful.
