Open heart surgery, valve replacement. Up and walking on day 2. Great staff. Great surgeons. The presurgery was very easy and relaxing. The post follow-up was great.

This place is amazing. The doctors actually care, provide excellent and vital services.  Virginia Mason Medical Center also has charity account services to help those who need care, but are unable to pay some or all of their bills. 

This hospital has saved my life, in every possible way a person can be, and I will always be grateful to them for what they have done for my family and I. 

Thank you Virginia Mason, and Dr. Camille Johnson and her assistant Jo up on the 8th Floor of Buck Pavillion!

Been going since 1973! Diary says so, to my surprise.  I had two serious illnesses since.  Almost died of Chicken Pox in ear and a heart attack.  Had quadruple by-pass in 2011. Yes,  even good hospitals have some bad workers,  l met some but they also have really good ones.  I know a PT that l meet time to time,  since my pox in1993. He was a football player.  Still doing it at VM.  It's a caring hospital.

I’ve been going to Virginia Mason for my primary care appointments since I moved to Seattle 19 months ago.  Processes are nonsensical requiring multiple checkins, and staff at the internal medicine desk have always been less than helpful, and many times very rude.  Today’s experience takes the cake though, where it took 25 minutes to book my follow-up appointment.  To clarify, that’s 25 minutes after reaching the front of the line, the woman at the desk had no clue how to use the computer. Virginia Mason needs to re-evaluate their training and possibly hiring/screening process for the position.  I don’t have all day to spend at the hospital for a routine checkup.
