Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Spend the extra money to get it towed to Denver or somewhere else, but do not go here. And for the several other people who have clearly been ripped off by this facility, please take the time to submit complaints to the Colorado Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. You should contact Subaru Corporate as well, although they don't seem to care. But I believe that if enough people complain, some action might eventually be taken. (Note: I tried to give zero stars, but google won't let me, so I gave one star). I brought my 2011 Forester here on June 30 for scheduled brake work. The engine had also started making a knocking sound so I asked them to check it out. They said I would need a new engine and gave me a rough estimate of $5000-6000, but they said I needed to authorize 6 hours of labor to diagnose and give an exact estimate. I (regretfully) authorized that 6 hours. After several days of not hearing back, and also after reading several of these bad google reviews, I decided I did not trust Vista so I called and told them I wanted to have the car towed elsewhere. The service advisor then told me suddenly (after several days of telling me he didn't know how long it might take to "diagnose" my car) that his technician had the "engine on the ground." Then a few hours later he called and told me the exact estimate was $10,000+. When I asked, he could not explain why it was double the initial estimate. After doing some research, I discovered the whole process was a violation of the Colorado Motor Vehicle Repair act, which requires written authorization to disassemble a car for diagnostic purposes. After I finally decided to get the car towed to a reputable mechanic in Denver, the reputable mechanic told me that the work done by Vista was completely unprofessional. First, Vista's technician removed parts that had nothing to do with the engine. Second, their technicians left the cylinder heads intact so there is no way they could have actually done any diagnosis that led the estimate to skyrocket from $5000 to $10,000. Third, Vista technicians did not include all the parts they had removed from the car, so the Denver mechanic had to provide some small parts, and he had to call Vista and ask them to ship one of the major parts--the catalytic--that they had kept. This caused an additional 2-day delay in my eventual repair. Fourth, Vista technicians had left greasy parts on my front passenger seat, which left a permanent stain. I am grateful to Vista for one thing. They have helped reinforce one of my life philosophies. There are a certain number of people in life who are just complete assholes. Those people are going to take up much more time and energy than many of the other people in your life. If you are lucky, though, you will also encounter other people who go out of their way to help you when you need it most. In the end, if you can try to achieve a balance between these two kinds of people, you are doing well. And if you can go out of your way to focus even more time and energy on the kind people than you have to do with the assholes, then you will be even better off. Thanks, Vista Subaru, for giving me a new reason to practice and believe this philosophy.

Very dissatisfied with the sales department. Talked with the general manager over the phone and came to an agreed price on a used car. I made the 2 hour drive to vista and find out that they added to our agreed price AND charged a $600 dealer fee that was never mentioned by anyone at vista. Sky-high finance "origination fee" of almost 10% is ridiculous. The car also had two different mechanical problems that were not mentioned. I wrote the manager an e-mail explaining my concerns, but never heard back. Typical dishonest and sneaky dealership. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. EDIT: After seeing the business reply below, I e-mailed Vista to see if they were willing to make things right. I haven't received a reply of any kind. These good-sounding replies to google reviews are not genuine. Just an attempt at making themselves look better.

I bought a brand new Dodge Ram 2500. Its a HEMI!! This is the second vehicle I have purchased at Vista in Silverthorne, CO. I want to thank Merlin Dickeson and everyone at Vista. I cannot say enough about the sales, finance and service departments. I am extremely happy about the deal I got and the way I was treated there. This truck will be used by our small business to plow snow and repair rental homes in Summit County. Its a huge asset for us. THANKS A LOT!!!!

Service department is not helpful. Made an appointment for required servicing, they wouldn't elaborate on what the servicing was. Ended up only being an oil change. Very frustrating considering I live in another county and they won't provide a loaner. If I had known, I wouldn't have even brought it in. Multi-point inspection stated I needed new brake pads. Why would you not do the work while you have my car in the shop already? "Well, that's a separate appointment, in a separate service department, and those appointments are 8-10 days out." What a joke. Now I've got bad brakes and squeaky belts after they return the car. When I called to see if they would make it right, they won't. On top of that, I got a call asking if I was going to keep my car because the lease was about to be up....That's interesting, because I purchased my car and it's paid off. I will NEVER buy a car from them again.

Vista auto is great! I have bought two cars from them and always experienced an honest, straight forward sales process. Garret and Samantha are great!
