Today was my first visit to Vixen Spa. I was very impressed. Joana was attentive and precise with my luxury pedixure and the rest of the staff were just as nice as Joana. I will definitely making Vixen Spa my regular nail salon!

Poorly equipped for makeup assignments. Unforgiving service. Possibly quite stingy with their service too. Booked an appointment for makeup. Was placed in a poorly lit room and was first seated in a low wooden/plastic chair. Makeup artist had to bend her back low in order to do my makeup. After realizing how uncomfortable it was for her, she moved me to the spa bed and I sat slouched over to have my makeup put on. How uncomfortable! There was no mirror in front of me. Only one on the wall and hidden in far off corner away from everything. Had to jump off the spa bed in order to see what was happening to my face. Poor, limited makeup kit. Had to choose from a limited colour selection for eyeshadows. Didn't have pinks, purples, greens, blues...hardly any colours except dry and stale neutrals. Same with lipsticks--had one or to color choices for blush. No bronzer or sparkle at all. Very impoverished and unprofessional setup. Not sure how they had the nerve to charge me full price for special occasion makeup application, when they are not fully serviced to do the job. Pretty shameful I would say. Not worth the spend. To make matters worse, I forgot to pay using my wayspa Gift Card and asked if payment could be reapplied to card. Manager gave me an outright no and after pleaing with her, she said she would talk to the owner and get back to me the next morning. Did not call me back. Called her back 2 days later and the answer was still no. Their system does not accept refunds. So if you make a mistake or if they charge you for something by mistake, good luck! Would not revisit this place, even though it's just a foot away from my house. Oh well!

Although I do not go as often as I would like to, Vixen is the best nail salon in Milton. It is not the cheapest and not the most expensive but at least you know the salon is clean, they use clean tools, and they have experienced friendly staff. They pride themselves on great service. If you are just looking for a quick manicure/pedicure and you don't care about what I've mentioned, there are plenty of other salons to choose from in Milton. If you want to be sure the utensils used on your nails are clean, the nail polish is actually what's written on the bottle and the staff is friendly and good at what they do (this comes at a reasonable price) then this is your place. In my visits to this salon, I have never witnessed any of the situations described in the negative reviews listed here - the only things I have seen include some rude people who are expecting a four seasons spa experience but only want to pay dollar store prices. Great job Vixen team at sticking to who you are and giving Miltonians a better option with tremendous value for nail services!

Had my first experience with Vixen Nails and Spa and unfortunately, I will not be returning. I booked days in advance a mani shellac with 2 nail art designs. After looking through the Vixen Nails and Spa Instagram page I settled on the color and design I was hoping to get. Initially, the esthetician wasn't very friendly or welcoming compared to her co-workers who greeted me while I waited at the station. I had shown the esthetician pictures of the color and nail design that I wanted. She then suggested a color that was nowhere near what I shown her and proceeded to ask what style I wanted. I asked her to clarify and she repeated the exact question without any explanation. Seeing how confused I was she followed up by recommending to me that that a silver sparkle nail color would look great on my ring fingers along with the other nail color she CHOOSE. Still confused I assumed maybe she's going to use this sparkle nail polish to recreate the art design I asked. I trusted her experience as an esthetician, as I am not in that field. As we were busy talking I quickly realized my nails were nowhere near what I requested and it was too late to say anything as she had already applied several coats of the nail polish. Once it was done I paid a large tab for a HORRIBLE service, she did not clean up my cuticles properly, I paid for a nail art design that had no design whatsoever!! It was just painted in a different solid sparkly color. Sadly, that would be the first and last time that I will visit Vixen Nails and Spa. I will be returning to Coco Nails and Spa which is located right around the corner and although there's a communication barrier (language difference) between me and the estheticians at Coco, they at least LISTEN when I show them what I want done to my nails.
