Location: South loop, Chicago Free entry as the beautiful murals are along the alleys and parking lots of the Wabash Avenue stretch. This is a canvas in the middle of urbans area. You will find colorful murals on top of the building elevation, parking lot walls, alley ways etc. Artists from all over the world have left their impressions in form of depictions with different themes. The ideas are bold and mood uplifting. I visited on a saturday morning. Started at 10am from Riverwalk to Wabash. It took me more than 2hours to cover everything, i still think i missed a lot. Happy walking and happy seeing around! Attaching few clicks from the visit. Carry a Cap if you plan to go during afternoon. There are many cafes and restaurants near by as well. Don't forget to stop by at Columbia college, Chicago. They have students work for public display too.
I had other expectations for this place, I thought it was going to be likewise Wynwood Miami but there are only few paintings most of them in parkings and you have to walk a lot to find them
This neighborhood is certainly worth a stroll for the many gorgeous murals that can be found within just a few blocks! In addition, it’s just a very friendly and inviting neighborhood as well.
Totally different from the „magnificient mile“ but absolutely worth visiting those sidestreets. Experience a bit of a different side of Chicago and soak up that Streetart
A free museum that is predicated on vantage points. Just keep looking up and there is no doubt that you'll see stunning pieces of art. Murals and dedications adorn the streets, while Chicago's history is slowly fading from building facades. Most difficult will be remembering where the piece is and where you were standing.
A map of the area and art would def be. A huge help!! Park around the Columbia college area. And walk from one end to the other. Look in alleys, corners..art is everywhere.
It’s not really an arts corridor. You really have to walk to see all the paintings and I personally thought it wasn’t worth it. The locals we asked didn’t even know about it.Visited onWeekday
Maybe we didn't start at the correct location but we could only find a handful of murals. We found none north of Ida B Wells. Maybe there are more further south of the 100 to 400 south blocks?Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Is good but not that great, there are murals all along the wabash street, so there is not an specific point, it's about 8 blocks of murals. Also it is not easy to take pictures as many murals are behind a metro line, trees or a parking lot. Definitely not a main place you would go to get to know Chicago
a wonderfully colorful part of the city that is still being updated every year. there's always room for more murals! great job to all the artists
