Maybe I'm too "old school", but is it too much to ask to expect a simple greeting when I approach the checkout.  Kyle (the cashier) didn't even look up, but instead began to ring the items up paying no regard whatsoever to the customer, except when the demand for "I.D." was barked in my general direction.  Which, when presented, wasn't even checked properly.  

In fact, the only words spoken to me were "I.D." and "$24.79".  He then proceeded to hand me a crumpled up receipt, while not once making any attempt at eye contact.  

I'm new to the area, and thought I'd check out the local grocer.  Disappointed.  I'll happily drive my ass over to South Haven and use the self checkout machine at Wal-Mart (which I despise).  I'll at least have better customer service.  

BTW, if you plan on shopping here, make sure you check the dates on the products.  There was a block of cheese on the shelf from 2010 (it's currently 2017).

Great place to stop for a break along the Kal-Haven trail.  The place has all the basic needs for fueling up on a journey along the Kal-Haven trail.

Everyone is friendly. They have a great selection of products. Best fried chicken in the county!
