If you go to the clinic at this location for any reason, ask them to be as specific and down to the detail as possible. Learn why you should in my adventure below. Long story short, I got a really bad case of the shingles. It started out as an ear infection, then a rash developed all over that same side of my face. The rash wasn't incredibly noticeable the first time I went in, so they just diagnosed it as only an ear infection and gave me an antiviral for it. However, when the rash got bigger and the medication wasn't working for anything, I went in again a few days later for another check-up. The only available doctor there took one look at my face and said, "That's no ear infection. That's HERPES." Now, I'm no nurse; I know nothing specifically at all about diseases or viruses. I was a communications major for God's sakes. So technically, she was correct in saying so because the shingles virus is a little beautiful thing called, "herpes zoster." But you'd think when she saw the shell-shocked reaction on my face that she would've emphasized it wasn't the sexually transmitted disease, but something I got just because I had chicken pox as a child. But nope. Instead, she whipped out a book full of pictures of herpes victims with BLACK BARS COVERING THEIR EYES TO HIDE THEIR IDENTITIES. She showed this to a visibly terrified twenty-two year-old straight out of school, fresh into the new world, and did not think once about reassuring me that my life hadn't just changed that day. After the short sex education class, she scheduled me to go see an actual doctor at the real hospital down the street THREE HOURS LATER. I can't recall any other time in my life that I had been as stressed as I was in that pan of time between the appointments. Halfway through, I was already knees deep in blogs and articles posted on Google by victims with titles like, "Living My Life With Herpes," and "So You've Just Been Diagnosed With Herpes. Now What?" I was throwing things, I was crying, I was debating on telling any friends or family for the rest of my life, I was going through how I would tell my future partner if I'd ever even find one after this. Then finally the time rolled around and I went into Rush to accept my fate. After the doctor checked it out and confirmed that it was herpes, he asked if I had chicken pox as a kid. Not understanding the connection, I said yes and asked why, to which he explained the whole situation to me. Once again, visibly shocked. Unlike the other doctor, he notices and asks, "Wait... did they tell you it was THE "herpes" herpes?" Ten seconds later, we're both laughing; I had never felt more relief in my entire existence. Then he shows me the notes the other doctor had sent him, which read, "herpes zoster (shingles)", meaning that she damn well knew what it was but still didn't have the decency to tell me. Now, I didn't expect the world coming into a Walgreens for a diagnosis instead of an actual hospital. But for the situation I was in, you'd think I would've gotten a lot more clarity. So take your chances at this clinic. The doctor may have been a little senile but I'm definitely not letting her give me a check-up again.

The longest checkout wait of any Walgreens I've visited, which sucks, because it's a block from my pad. They also don't like stocking food items. As if Walgreens has any decent food offerings to begin with.

Worst pharmacy experience I’ve ever had. Hands down the WORST! It should not take 3 hours to fill a prescription. They said there was an issue with my insurance company, but that the prescriptions were there ready to go when they resolved the issue. I called insurance and they told me there was no issue and they got the pharmacy on the other line and the pharmacy told her there was no issue. So I called the pharmacy back and they told me that the prescription was NOT ready. Oh, and that they didn’t know anything about an insurance issue. So I drove back and waited in line again. Once there they told me that there was an insurance issue and that one of the medications wasn’t ready yet. Unbelievable. Don’t go here. They don’t know what they’re doing.

This is my last visit to this pharmacy. Been coming here for a few years now and used to love this location. Now the lines are insane, there's never enough staff and it takes forever to check out. None of the staff gives a care at all. This is the third time I've tried to pick up the one prescription I have that was filled I've a week ago. I've had to leave the in store line once so as not to be late for work. The next day i sat at the drive through window and rang the button three times. Twenty minutes no one came to the window at 8:30 pm. Tonight I've been stuck in the drive through with 6 other cars. 25.minutes later.and there are still 2 cars ahead of me. I am done with this pharmacy.
