I wish I could give no stars. Twice, the automated refill system promised that a prescription would be refilled, and when I went to the pharmacy, it wasn't available. The first time, I couldn't get any straight answers about the status, despite multiple calls. It took days to sort it out. The second time, I needed insulin syringes for my cat, and needed them right away because we had run out. (That's the point of refill, right?) Although the system said they would be available, once we got there, we were told the prescription was expired. 

Shouldn't have been a problem though--in my state, by state law pharmacies are allowed to sell 10 syringes without a prescription--this is an effort to reduce the transmission of disease among drug addicts. Sounds like a reasonable idea, and should have meant that we could take care of our cat, to boot. But alas, no, not at this pharmacy. They wouldn't allow us to purchase them until 9:00 the next morning. Apparently, they're not forced to conform with the state law, and they don't want to risk the possibility that a drug addict might purchase a syringe from them at night, God forbid, perhaps even preventing the transmission of a disease. Never mind that this might greatly inconvenience a loyal customer, WITH AN EXPIRED PRESCRIPTION ON FILE, and mean that their cat does not get his much needed AND WELL DOCUMENTED insulin. When asked for a solution to the problem, the staff had no suggestions for us.Ridiculous. Don't go there.

It took more than 24 hours to fill a prescription which included over 30 minutes waiting to speak by phone with a pharmacist (call wait time didn't decrease, so gave up on call) plus an hour wait in-person.  Lodged a complaint with corporate headquarters.  This was the second time (same medication) with at least an hour in-person wait.  The people are nice enough, but the wait is ridiculous. I will not return to Walgreens for prescriptions.
