Unless you enjoy wasting over an hour of your time for simple prescriptions, I would suggest you go to CVS down the road. Me and my wife are travelers for her job, and have used walmart pharmacies all around the United States and have never had a problem, except for this particular location. The ordeal started with me trying to obtain antibiotics for my sick wife, they took her insurance information and stated it would be ready in half an hour. Twenty minutes later I am called back with them stating that her birthday was wrong in the system. Called the insurance company and her birthday is correct. Told the pharmacy I would just pay cash, they took the insurance information again and made me wait another 30 minutes while they called the insurance company again without me knowing, forcing me to wait thinking they were going to call me to the counter when the medication was ready for me to pay for. I walk to the counter and I am told they couldn't get the insurance to go through, for some reason that she couldn't describe other then "out of state insurance". Here is the problem, my wife has had medication filled, using the same insurance, in three different states of Oregon, Wyoming, and Alabama at Wal-Mart pharmacies. I don't know what the problem was. Maybe the pharmacist just didn't want to fill it because her name was not changed due to us getting married in the last few weeks, or maybe the employees are not adequately trained in their profession or in customer service. At this point it doesn't matter because I was able to fill the prescription down the road at CVS in under 10 minutes with no problems. The insurance was accepted, the customer service was great, and the employees were knowledgeable about their system and their profession. Go to CVS and save yourself the headache.
