The store and bathroom I used was kept clean and sanitary. There was no damage or graffiti in the facility. (Important to me). The staff is always polite. If they have knowledge of what you are talking about you can usually get a correct if not helpful answer. It seems that after 9pm the cashier stations are staffed lightly, as if it were a gas station. I can't see why a store with multi-millions in inventory wouldn't have at least 2-3 cashiers working, even in a store open 24 hrs a day. PRICING: You have to be aware of the products you need and there relative value. Not everything is a great deal here. ALDI is a great competitor here for groceries.

Very good hot food section. Roast chickens are always good for making messy chicken sandwiches. Hot wings and Carolina wings are my favorites. Jalopena stuffer and cheese sticks are good too. I’ll skip the popcorn shrimps, more batter than shrimps. Also skip the fish - yuck. Look at the menu as the meal special is perhaps a better deal than ordering the chicken wings separately. The $5 pizza is no compare with Pizza Hut but still not bad for the value. The kids like them. For cold cut section, try the Cajun turkey - the best. Make sure you ask the server to change gloves before they serve you !!!!

This new looking store was surprisingly well designed for this rural area. Brick facing recalls stores I have seen in wealthy areas. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The fresh produce was marketed in an inviting fashion. Of exceptional note was the eyeglasses department, where the very professional optician fixed my glasses and my husband's. A good place to shop.

Christmas season. BUSY season. There were NO carts inside. They were all being used or left in the lot. While shopping, I walked by the manager complaining to another manager or employee. They didn't even speak to me, let alone ask if I needed help. There was only one employee that spoke as I walked around the store. When I went to cash out, there were NO express registers open and there were (as usual) not enough regular registers open. I work in retail so I understand being busy, but they don't seem to even care at all, at this walmart. I'll drive to another one next time.

This Walmart in New Smyrna Beach has employees that are helpful, polite and care. I have been to Walmart’s in many states and this one is the best by far. My favorite!!!
