Staying for the weekend. The cabin is immaculate. We had a small issue with the furnace, but it was quickly resolved. The hot tub is fantastic after a day hiking, or skiing.

Grand location and homes. Perfect for a couple weekend getaway and very fur baby friendly.

We stayed in the Mountain Memories cabin during February 2015. The rental process was professional. The property was clean and in perfect working order. Everything on the web was as advertised. We have rented several VRBO type properties and what is helpful to me is to know the logistics. We like to ski multiple areas and this cabin is very convenient to both Sugar and Beech Mtns. It was very cold and snowed a lot during our visit (so much the locals were out of school etc. for winter weather advisories.)  Throughout our five-day stay, we were able to access all the area ski facilities, Banner Elk, and the property using a stock 1500 series 4x4 truck. The owners even snow plowed the driveway and parking areas during our visit. If we return to Banner Elk, we will definitely consider staying at this property again. Thanks Sara!
