Best showers I have ever used at a park...very clean, warm water, and fairly large. The day use area was very nice, but the water spickets didn't have knobs, so you couldn't fill your water bottle unless you had vice grips. The price for camping was very high though. They only have spots with hookups, so, if you want to use a tent, it is the same price as someone wanting to use an RV. The staff seemed a bit irritable, but not a big deal.

Absolutely lovely views with well cared for grounds. Full service RV hookups at nearly every site, along with well maintained public services for campers.
Unfortunately, no wifi or cable, but a minor inconvenience and even a bonus if you really want to get away from the world.

Do not come here by accident. ..Be prepared. It's almost as if the campgrounds staff expects you to know everything up front. My kids husband an I were quite blatantly shown we were not wanted there, by what seemed to be an either irate or mentally disturbed camp ranger. ;(.... not sure. The impression I have: not welcoming. Be careful...

DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE A TENT
We went to Wanapum State Park camping during the last weekend in July. It is a beautiful and clean campground. However....
once the sun went down the wind picked up. ******OMG******.
I was in Hurricane Andrew (wind up to 90 mph) and I can honestly say the wind speed was 40 MPH at Wanapum. Reviews have said 20-25 mph = fake news. 
We took our tent down before it blew away and slept in the car, and we have a high-quality tent.
We secured another tent with extra ropes in the front and back, put heavy logs over the stakes and logs inside her tent for weight on the windy side. She said that all night long the wind was so strong the side of the tent was in her face.
Plus, the campground is an OVEN. The mobile weather is for Vantage, but the campground is in a valley close to Vantage so it holds heat. If Vantage is 90, the campground is 95-98. 
We packed up in the morning and got the heck out of there even though we paid for 2 nights.
The wind comes from a temperature change at sundown from the nearby hills. The wind stopped approximately at 4 AM.
It was living hell. Beautiful (so 2 stars), but hell.
RV's must have been rocking wildly. The wind was unreal.

Nice place to visit. Neat petroglyphs. It's worth taking a look.
