First time here. Walked in @ 12:30 and was greeted immediately. I was the only customer. We exchanged pleasantries and I ordere the lunch chicken bowl for 9$. Food arrived 1 minutes after I had gone to the restroom. Total for the bill is $12.xx including tax and tip. The chicken bowl is good. More chicken than I would get at a chipotle. I didnt want to waste food so I stuffed myself and only finished 3/4 of the bowl, had only 5 nachos chips with salsa. Can definitely feed 2.
Been here 3 times. Service was great. It's a place to grab a quick bite or have a drink and some tacos. Don't expect an elegant Mexican restaurant. Everything is cooked fresh right in front of you if you're sitting at the bar. Nice drink specials. Limited seating inside. Again this is quick bite and go type of place.
This was first time at Wapo Taco and definitely my first time trying Tex-Mex food. I learned about the restaurant by their advertisement on Instagram, and decided to check it out since I was in the Hallandale Beach area. There's a menu posted by the entrance so you can look it over and know what you want before entering. The cost for the food is a bit pricey, ranging from $12-$25. For those ptices; the meals better come with a drink, an appetizer, and dessert...okay. There are soups, salads, burritos/chimichangas, quesadillas, fajitas, tacos soft/hard, Wapo plate/bowl, beer & wine, hot & cold beverages, etc. Inside the restaurant was quiet and colorful with plenty of seating for the customers. I greeted a female employee the counter and placed my order of the chimichanga de carne to go. It was prepared very quickly...a big portion of tender steak with rice wrapped in a soft tortilla; and topped with sour cream, shredded lettuce, and diced tomato...served with some chips & homemade salsa. It was pretty good. Eventually I will return to try something else...whenever I feel like indulging in Tex-Mex food.
Avoid at all cost. Overpriced: $15 for 3 tacos!, 3.5% convenience fee to pay by card, large tip included in final check. Fish tacos were totally overcooked, hard shells also over baked, portions super small. Do not go!
Ordered 2 different tacos and 2 Jaritos sodas to go. Total was $46. The tacos were 3 soft tacos that are melted together, don’t taste great at all and are very plain ingredients. Any random food truck serves better tacos for a couple bucks.
Worst tacos ever! We decided to give this place a try since we were nearby. We ordered tacos al pastor, and minutes later, the tacos appeared at the table, huge tasteless chunks of pork full of fat, or let me rephrase, huge chunks of pork fat as if you were putting pieces of lard in your mouth with every bite. In addition to this, salsas were extremely cold, and so were the rice and beans. Not to mention that an 18% tip was included in the check; I wonder If this is a regular practice or if we were just forced to. No, I do not recommend this place. It is a complete disgrace to Mexican Food!
Great tacos! Best I've ever had. Wonderful service. Waitress was very kind and helpful. Atmosphere was a cool Mexican theme.Food: 5/5
The place is pretty small, but they offer beer to go along with the food. To start I ordered an horchata, and tacos cochinto, and carnitas. The server brought mixed tortilla chips and 3 different dips for them. They were very good. When I got the tacos I was a bit disappointed with the portion size for the price, 3 would've been more reasonable than 2. This was the only negative I found about this place. Other than that, the tacos were very close to authentic. They are definitely the best I've had in the area.
Went here with my mom and I really liked it. We both ordered the quesadilla and it was a good size and had good taste. They provide chips with some salsas. All are at some level of spice. The prices are fair for what I got and the service was good. Would definitely visit again.
Don’t go there, it’s not tacos it’s a joke, everything falling apart, next time I’ll just throw my money in garbage can!
