I have driven through the reservation numerous times but never stopped as such to enjoy its beauty. I came across the Hayrides and campfire trips offered by the nature trail center and decided to give it a try with our toddler. It was an unforgettable experience under the stars. Our daughter enjoyed the hot cocoa , marshmallows and the hayride (thoroughly). We decided to add this to our family's fall tradition going forward..

Great hiking and park for families. The trails in the main area are not too challenging so it is definitely a good place to go with kids. For more challenging trails I would recommend using one of the smaller parking lots/alternative entrances. There are large fields, a large playground, and a very good nature museum. The reservation also regularly holds events like an Earth Day celebration so be sure to look into those.

Lots of maintenance and new signage. We hiked to the deserted village. Stunning forest , beautiful hiking trail. a must see! History and nature.

Quiet woodlands awaits the suburban traveler in this medium sized county park. Beautiful trails to enjoy on your next day hike

The Loop Playground is great for young children. Well away from moving cars, easy to find shade or sun whichever you are looking for at the moment. Water mists on command if you want to cool down. People were appropriately friendly.
