We visited on April 30th and it was such a nice and clean place.

Great place to have a picnic, play Bocce, talk a walk to the river's edge, or watch folks flying interesting kites - or kiteboarding. There is an amphitheater, a bait shop, the Martinez Marina, and the Martinez Yacht Club. Half the park is owned by the City of Martínez, and the other half is owned by the East Bay Regional Park District -  and the EBRPD side, which is larger, does not allow alcohol. The City side hosts the annual King of the County Barbecue and Music Festival in the first weekend of June, and copious amounts of craft and ordinary draft beer, and wine as dispensed. Annual 4th of July fireworks take place on the EBRPD side.

Great place to let the kids play or hang out. However, the playground is in full sun.
