We moved to Northern California and were recommended to Waterman by a very reliable high profile corporate colleague. I contacted him to do our taxes in November of last year to see if he was interested. He said he was and told us to gather information for him about our previous taxes and get them to him. WHICH I HATED GIVING HIM NOW! He never responded again, I sent emails and phoned him. I never got through to him. He never returned my calls. He finally emailed us and apologized that he was very busy but he wanted to handle our work. Said he would send us a questionnaire, which he never did. I reminded him of that several times. He never responded. He dragged this on and has still not responded. Taxes went by and fortunately I had my previous accountant handle an extension because Waterman dragged us on so we were unable to file on time. If I have penalties, I will seriously consider filing a complaint against this guy. If you are looking to use him, Do NOT!

Waste of time. 
Without getting to personal about the situation, he lost me hundreds of dollars because he felt delaying my taxes so that he could handle other client's issues was a responsible way to treat a new client. Perhaps he was trying to lock me into his services, but overall he just didn't do his job until there was a complaint.
