One of the most AWFUL places I have ever seen. My father was treated like an animal. The staff were totally ill equipped, the cleanliness NOT, always an elevator broken....just a disgusting place. I would never, ever, recommend this place for elder care. The Commonwealth should pull their license.

Many very helpful and caring staff, but there is at least one abusive care giver who abused my father. This staff member was exceedingly unprofessional to me as well. The first encounter he approached me, made some inappropriate comments about my father (in the cover of laughter and good-nature), 2nd encounter was similar. Another incident resulted in my father calling the police who thankfully responded.

Hygiene was NOT a priority. While in care my father received a bedsore that is so problematic he is back in rehab (at another facility) to care for it. Also, he is uncircumcised and he was never properly cleaned, which led to a bleeding infection.

DO NOT SEND YOUR PARENTS TO THIS PLACE!!!! We had to take our dad home today because he has been abused by the staff. He had a laceration and bruise on his head and a drop of blood on the shirt. Dad said that the staff punched him several times. My brother asked about what has happened, the floor manager didn't deny the staff hit. We reported the incident to police. It is dangerous place.!!!!

Absolutely the worst place. Everything went wrong. The heating system is terrible! Staff and clients suffer tremendously due to this. Is this a way to keep the clients subdued? If so, it works. Terrible rodent problem not only in dining rooms but also in client's rooms. Clients who cannot speak for themselves are left alone without being checked. Clients left without being changed all day. My mother's body is still scarred from the cuts received by their "transfer skills." Mother found by relative slouched in wheelchair ready to slide off. No one noticed even though she was "parked" at the nurse's station. (She had pneumonia but no one noticed the signs.) Intake paperwork given to family 1 month after entering facility. This is illegal. The worst time...at night when family members usually are not there...but I was. Clients being verbally abused by staff members. DON'T JUST TAKE A TOUR. SIT DOWN AND SPEAK WITH THE CLIENTS. LISTEN TO WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY. There were so many other problems. Administration was made aware of everything but did nothing. Keep in mnd that I am a nurse and have never seen a place run as poorly as Watertown Health Center.
