Beautiful area with some hiking trails. In the fall, the colors are just gorgeous! Beautiful yellow colors fill the area. Growing up, I always loved visiting this area. To this day, it’s still a treat to visit.
Worst park ever!!! Only one trail, a small disk golf park, many campsites but that is it. Why would someone want to camp here? To call this a park is silly. Looks like it is being cleared out by the town, the trees are being cut down it has a sad feeling to it. Just know that after you set up everything and get ready to do some camping that there is nowhere to explore except the one trail so bring some games or something like that if you have to go here.
While traveling through this supposedly State Natural Area.. it seems there was or still is logging operations taking place. To me this seems to have thrown 50 years of natural area away, maybe logging is now considered natural.. I guess money is more important then preserving a natural environment where endangered species reside. When all the trees have been cut down, when all the animals have been hunted, when all the waters are polluted, when all the air is unsafe to breathe, only then will you discover you cannot eat money. —Cree Prophecy
In reply to budvb, a terrible wind storm blew threw our area and many trees were torn out of the ground. To allow continued access to the trails and frisbee golf course, trees were logged and sold. Please understand the circumstances before you leave a negative review.

I absolutely love this place. My favorite time to go is in the Fall when the leaves are changing color. There's public restrooms and a park area with a jungle gym. The trials at the West end are to hike through. I was devastated what I went there over Memorial day weekend 2018 to see that storms/tornado had caused so much damage.
