Amazing, we stayed 4 nights in total and loved it. The Rangers were very helpful and engaging. We will return in future.

camped here for two nights in April, got cold at night.  Sites are big and some are private, second night got a site by the river.  The restrooms could have been cleaned a bit better in the two days we were there (not sure they got cleaned once). Volunteer park hosts were very friendly and helpful.

This has been our favorite place to stay, and we travel the country 6-7 months out of the year! Very pet & family friendly, quiet hours are well respected, programs led by rangers each night, the friendliest staff we've ever encountered, and so much to do! It's in Yosemite, but we honestly wanted to stay at the campground! The river is BEAUTIFUL and offers many private areas to sunbathe or read. Our only regret was not bringing tubes or floats! Many locals there, and all had floats! You can put in anywhere upstream and just float to wherever your campsite is. Incredible place!

Addt'l Info: we stayed here in a 24 foot RV for 3 nights in late July. Trout was definitely decent!Not the largest, but plenty of them to catch. Pretty hot during the day, but perfect with windows open at night. The mosquitos also love it here, but are easily avoided with bug spray. You'll probably want to sit by a fire each night. Collecting fallen wood & pinecones is actually allowed here! We did this night one, but bought firewood at a nearby gas station for the other nights. Quiet hours begin at 10 pm, and are well respected. Generators are only allowed to be on for 2 hour periods spread throughout the day. Very safe, as rangers are frequently driving through to keep an eye on things. BOOK IN ADVANCE. Wawona had the most friendly, laid back staff ever. We really can't recommend it enough!

Awesome view, quiet during the night, and relatively close to Yosemite Valley, but at the same time as far as needed to avoid crowds.

Excellent campground beside the river. Heated restrooms with running water. Excellent to spend the night before entering yosemite valley.
