The absolute best! Not a bar on the main drag, so actually enjoyable for anyone who enjoys a quieter experience. They always have a drink special and the bartenders are legit artists when it comes to mixing.
My husband and I visit here every chance we get. We’re alumni and enjoy Cider House for the unique vibes and delicious ciders & cocktails, but after today we are second guessing the love we have for this place. Google said it opened at 2, and we pulled up at 1:57 and saw a woman setting up the patio chairs with the door open so we assumed it was open. After being told “we’re not open yet,” we went back to wait a few minutes in the car. At 2:05 we thought it should definitely be open now especially since she saw us waiting to come in. The door was locked we could see her, so we waited outside for a couple more minutes. Then we decide to knock because we’re from out of town and just wanted to get some cans to go and get on our way. The woman working passes the door without a wave or anything, comes back 30 seconds later and said “I was getting the key, Jesus Christ.” Clearly the bartender didn’t want us to be there, so we will definitely think twice about going back. It’s such a shame having such a terrible experience at what we thought was a great place.
Quite literally one of my favorite if not my favorite place to catch a drink in Athens, Ohio. Off the beaten court street path, you will find a quiet yet still exciting little bar that offers fresh ciders and cocktails. With a front and back patio, there are lots of little places to relax. I stop in every time I’m in town!
The drinks were fantastic. A lot of creativity has gone into their ciders and cocktails. Super affordable bar tab. Just wish the food selection was a little tastier.
We love this place it’s super unique. Never crowded. Start off with Zinzerber and with a cocktail. Service here is quick and careful. No hot food but snack trays are available. Off the main drag in Athens for a more refined flare.
OMG C.C. makes hands down thebest bloody Mary I've ever tasted. It was a revelation. I've never had a drink I didn't thoroughly enjoy from all the bartenders that work here. Best. Drinks. Ever.
Delicious booze. Awesome staff. The patio is fantastic. I suggest stopping for a drink or 2 & taking a few ciders to go. Definitely worth it.
Loved their Peach Melba cider. Staff was supper fun and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Will be back
My favorite bar in Athens! The bar is away from everything else. The atmosphere is great. The bartender we had was so friendly and helpful. I got the b-yard. The best cider I have had!
