Women using this masjid do not have the same amenities as the men. For example, the men have a designated indoor space to store their shoes, while the women are told to leave ours in the common hallway. Not only is this discriminatory, but it is also a fire hazard! Unfortunately, such behavior is typical of the toxic masculinity that unabashedly infests masaajid all over the world. Too many Muslim men seem to be reading the same email chain about how to deprioritize and devalue the needs of female Muslims when planning mosque space. I usually leave the masjid with more proof that male leadership willingly treats the majority of their own species as unworthy of the right to worship in equally appointed prayer spaces. Perhaps a lawsuit is the only way to wake up the patriarchy from it's delusional slumber.

Any clean place like this where I can bow my mind and heart to my lord is a 5 star place

A community of good Muslim brothers and sisters. They are around 500 plus who gather on Friday prayers at the prospect center hall. Development activities for kids and youth have always been taking place in this community. The khateeb is amazingly knowledgeable.
