Westbank Pet Emergency Clinic was established to provide Westbank pet owners with a completely equipped and staffed clinic for emergency veterinary care after regular office hours.

Westbank Pet Emergency Clinic is owned by Dr. Charles Jennings, a veterinarian with 30+ years in practice. During business hours the clinic always has a veterinarian on site. Westbank Pet Emergency Clinic has three veterinarians: Dr. Charles Jennings, Dr. Daniel Vichot and Dr. Ann Craig. We are open Monday thru Friday 6pm to 8am. We are open 24 hours on the weekends starting Saturday at noon to Monday morning at 8am. We are open 24 hours on the holidays.

This is a wonderfully owned family clinic. Dr. Jennings has been practicing for 37 years and his knowledge and experience are beyond measure.
The clinic is opened when your family vet is closed and it is opened the entire weekend. We offer bloodwork,digital x-rays, oxygen therpy, surgery if necessary and hospitalization when necessary,along with loving and compassionate care of your furbabies. 
Social media is so important to the business world today. However in our society the majority only take the time to post negative reviews,which can be devastating to a business.
With that being said
this clinic has served the Westbank for over 20 years and Dr. Jennings  has privately owned it for the last 8 years.

I cannot thank Dr. Jennings enough! He saved my baby girl Day-z from parvo.  We had gone to another vet at a different location and they said it looked liked parvo and that there was no need to test or treat her. Just take her home and make her comfortable. That's when we went to Dr. Jennings and he said it was parvo and he treated her for it. Two days later my dog was playing again. She wouldn't be alive today without him!

DO NOT take your pet to this clinic!! I cannot stress this enough. I took my dog to this clinic on August 27, 2017. They took blood, gave him a shot of antibiotics and sent us home. They should have told me that they were not equipt for his type of emergency. If I would have been told that he needed oxygen, x rays and heart medication my dog would have had a chance. By the time I got him to a proper emergency vet (Pet Care Center, Metairie) at 5 am the next morning, it was too late. My lil dog died yesterday afternoon and I place blame on this clinic. I don't care about the money. I just want my dog back. 

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS CLINIC!!  They should have their license revoked!!!!

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. 
He did not help us at all. We were the only people there and we sat for 2 hours waiting while our dog was basically on her death bed. He took an x ray of my dogs abdomen, said there was something there but he was unsure of what it was, and referred us to somewhere else and sent us on our way. A few hours later our dog passed away. This guy does not know what he's talking about and really doesn't seem to care. If I could give him no stars I would.
