Story

Westerly RV Park is located 5 miles north of historic Durango, Colorado in the beautiful Animas River Valley with views of the surrounding red cliffs and the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Train. The newly renovated park is adjacent to Trimble Spa & Natural Hot Springs which offers natural hot water pools as well as an Olympic outdoor swimming pool and various relaxing and therapeutic spa services set on beautifully landscaped grounds.

I'm s return customer. Great out of the way secluded public camping. There's a hot spring spa/bathhouse across the road. You have easy access to a gourmet grocery and liquor store and a hardware store. I'll come back again.

We were comming up from New Mexico so I called ahead. A nice man answered who was the owner. He said he is not on site but i have a host by the name of cook and he will take care of us. We arrived and rang the bell. Cook came out of his rv, signed us up and had us in a giant pull through.
Right in the front with full hook ups. Level and easy to get into. The town of Durango was just 15 minutes away. Cool town. Cook told us where to shop for stuff with a food market across the street and an ace hardware that came in real handy. This was mid January and very cold. He gave me a tip he got from another rv'er to keep your grays from freezing. Ask him about it if you need to. He told us he played music locally and invited us out. We had a great time and the music was good. This wasn't your typical rv visit and i will remember it for quite some time.
  The power boxes were in good shape and they had a laundry with industrial machines (very nice). This place was really nice to begin with. Cook made it special. 6.5 stars all day.

Great place to stay park manager went out of his way at night in 20 degree weather to help me fix an electrical problem lent me extra power cords and left them overnight I will always recommend and stay at this park whenever I'm in durango.

Nice relaxing hot springs with a pool and sauna. Bring your own food if you are staying for the day. Nice facilities and grounds.

It would be better to just park at a Walmart, at least Walmart has a TOILET to use. No bathroom, not even a port-a-potty, no shower, small spaces, and their laundry plan is terrible. You have two hours that the laundry is open before you have to check out. Terrible experience. Doubt the 4 star is real.
