Very clean and updated, awesome produce, especially for this part of the city. However if you call them to ask a question they do not answer with "hold on a moment" or "let me try to connect you". The call is transferred immediately without comment and the department NEVER answers. It's very frustrating when you are trying to run a business like mine. This means we have to send someone over there to answer our question if something is in stock.

I NEVER COME HERE, BUT TODAY WE CAME AND THE FLYER STATES "GREEN PLANTAINS 10 FOR $1 WITH $20 PRODUCE PURCHASE. I HAD OVER $100 IN FOOD ITEMS. THE CASHIER (VERY RUDE) SAID THE PLANTAINS ARE ONLY THAT PRICE IF YOU BUY $20 OF PRODUCE... I SAID YES WE HAVE PRODUCE A TON, SHE SAID NO ONLY VEGETABLES. I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO THE FLYER WHERE IT DOES NOT SPECIFY WHAT YOU NEED TO BUY IN ORDER TO GET THAT PRICE. MANAGER DID NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS HAPPENING. JUST A WHOLE LOT OF FRUSTRATION SO I RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE TO GO TO ANOTHER WESTERN BEEF PREFERABLY NOT IN THE SOUTH BRONX WHERE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS WILL NOT HAPPEN.

Meat department has really good sales and the meats are very fresh. Butcher will cut the meat to your liking.

Customer service is superb. All items I need are fresh and prices are quite reasonable.

This place is racist because the majority of the people working in the market are Dominicans and perhaps 80% of the people working there are illegals with documents they bought here or in Puerto Rico. There are more illegal Dominicans in this country than Mexicans and at least Mexicans are hard working people, however when Dominicans come into this country legally or illegally there first job is to sell Drugs.
