I brought my autistic 8 year old son in a few weeks ago. The staff was amazing with him! One nurse in particular went above and beyond for us, I just cant remember her name; however, she was the kindest person ever. Highly recommend the knowledgable and compassionate staff here!
I was so happy to get in right away. I got in to see Dr. Hoke, on a cancellation with in 2 hrs from my call. My primary Dr is Dr Brewington, but she was booked. I am always treated with respect and everyone that works at Center or the main hospital are wonderful. I tell, everybody what a good hospital we have here in Warrensburg. Also, looking forward to to Ladies Night Out. You have wonderful programs for the city this size. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Horrible experience at the ER with a 1yr old. Staff up front did not care at all. They leisurely took 5 minute personal phone calls and had fast food delivered while patients waiting and many other staff in the back laughing. Absolutely no urgency for a head wound on a baby. A doctor didn't even examine the baby until we had been there for 1hr and 15min.
I was short of breath, dealing with chronic sinus and chest infection. I got there a little after 10:30 AM. They did a EKG on me and took my blood pressure, which were in good condition , then put me back out in the waiting room. After five hours I just left. I told them I was leaving and they said bye-bye. I guess you have to have an ax hanging out of the side of your head for them to give you any attention at this emergency room. Thank goodness my regular physician is going to see me at 8 AM in the morning.
I was overall appalled by my visit to the Western Missouri Emergency Department. I came in a few weeks ago due to severe abdominal pain and a viral infection while being pregnant. Not a single staff member took me seriously or made me feel as though my needs were a priority. They seemed as though their biggest concern was getting me out as quickly as possible and gave up on trying to figure out what was wrong after the first couple of things they tried. I had to remind the nurse and doctor three times that I was pregnant, and the doctor was condescending to me when I reminded him the last time. He then prescribed me two medications, and when I went to pick them up from the pharmacy I asked them to double check that they were compatible with my pregnancy and they were not. This is not the only negative experience I have had in this ER and I will never be returning. I am going to make sure everyone I know is aware of how negligent the staff is and how they literally endangered me and my child.
Went to the ER for chest pains, sore throat and an ear ache, they did the EKG, then sent me back to the waiting room after that and my vitals. Then a hour and a half later someone came took me to do chest X-rays then sent me back to the waiting room then someone came and did my blood and sent me back to the waiting room. After that I was sitting in the waiting room a total of 6 hours I call customer service they talk to me and honestly have no care or remorse that my chest pains are worse after sitting in the waiting room for 6 hours and tries to defend the fact that they have just been busy. There is no reason that I should have been in a waiting room for 6 hours especially when the chest pains was getting worse. I will not be using Warrensburg medical again I would rather drive hours away then go back there.
I love my primary care doctor. Doctor Cohen I have a lot of medical problems and he has no problem dealing with them haven checks on me just to make sure that I'm doing all right and all my years of being sick and I've been sick since I was 18 months old I've never actually had a doctor who cared as much as he does I appreciate him and his nurses so very much
I would avoid this ER at all costs. They are absolutely awful. Receptionist is super rude, too busy online shopping to care about paients. They discharged me when I needed to have surgery because they were too busy. Most of the nurses were sat chatting at the desk or on their phones. Just an overall awful experience. Definitely drive the extra to go to St Lukes they have an outstanding ER and hospital.
I had a cough and a lot of congestion. As soon as the nurse talked to me I could tell they didn’t really care about my symptoms. After she left the main lady came in to ask me some more of my symptoms. About three minutes later she told me that I WILL take a steroid shot. I was very confused as to why I needed steroids and she didn’t explain very well what was happening. Let alone I never got a diagnosis. The nurse came in with shots and a machine and I told her that I had no idea what was happening and I didn’t want to go through with what the other doctor said. So she left and with the most snarkiest comment said “She said she has no idea what’s happening” Followed by a long sigh and my door swinging open. The main doctor lady almost yells at me and asked me what was the matter. I proceeded to tell her that I didn’t want the shots and I didn’t even get a diagnosis. She told me it was bronchitis like it was obvious and that I should’ve know that. It took tears coming out for her to start being nice to me. She kept pushing for shots and the treatment she wanted to give me to the point I had to verbally say loudly that I do not consent to her care or shots. Left there in tears and absolutely flabbergasted that a medical professional talked to me like I was twelve.
If You want to be seen here you better come by ambulance. And the ambulance patients sitting in the rooms waiting another 2 hrs before you see a dr. 4 hours at this er. And I’m still waiting! Literally watching others go to the back but not come back up front. They get placed in rooms and my pain and tears mean absolutely nothing. Oh and yes I’m the only African American in the building. But everyone else has been seen. The ambulance patients are all gone now!! This place is slow, disrespectful, and they pick and choose who they want to see! Sad part is other times was ok and I ignored certain things cause they were doing they job and cordial. Today I guess they don’t care.
