Story

Western Ohio Hardware is family owned & operated & has been serving the Southwest Auglaize county & surrounding areas for over 59 years. Growth is an integral part of the business & WOH originally started with one store located in New Bremen. In 1976, a second store opened in Minster. The two small stores combined into the new current 40,000 square foot facility in 1987 midway between Minster & New Bremen. In 2004, a second location was added in St. Henry, Ohio which is located in southern Mercer County. In February 2013, we opened our 3rd location in Wapakoneta, Ohio, located in the Grandview Plaza. We are excited to be able to provide a family owned hardware store for the people of Wapak, Cridersville, Botkins, Waynesfield & the surrounding area. There are three active generations of the Kuenning family currently working in the stores every day. Founder Stan "The Hardware Man" Kuenning & his wife Dona Mae can be seen helping customers & making sure everybody stays on task. Scott & Linda Kuenning currently run the day to day operations. Their sons, Lee & Andy, are managers in Minster & St. Henry respectively.
