Stopped by in a Sunday. Was asked if I had a reservation (No, I didn't- party of 3). There were only a few tables occupied. Most of the restaurant was empty. The person who walked in after us also did not have a reservation and was turned away. The food was authentically German and really good. The service was also good. Don't be in a hurry if you want to eat here though. This is definitely not fast food. Peculiar that management would require a reservation with an empty house. I definitely did not feel welcome when I walked in. I felt like we were bothering them.

Absolutely wonderful time! The food the service excellent. It's a little bit of of a ride there, but well worth it. It was nice to go to the mountains.

Service is excellent, if you are looking for good lengths of conversation with friends and loved ones while paying a moderate sum for great food. As a fomer server, I appreciate greatly the brief, well-timed, polite and knowledgeable service while carrying on with nearly-uninterrupted conversation. 

The food is incredible. I am not a huge fan of mushrooms, but their in-house-made cream of mushroom soup, along with their goulash, are musts. Main dishes are excellently prepared. The menu is not massive, but contains many difficult decisions, because no choice is a bad choice. 

Wine and drink list possesses many good liquors, good German wines and brews, and is reasonably priced.

This was my husband's first time, along with a friend, and they loved it.

A great place for wonderful food in a rustic atmosphere.  The service is not quick, but the wait is worth it.

mean staff, mediocre food - The sign on the front of the place said "Welcome"  but they did not make us feel welcome. For the first 30 minutes they never greeted us basically gave us the cold shoulder. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. I've driven by this place for well over 30 years and finally stopped in. I will not be going back any time soon.
