Glenside is a charming town. It is a hidden jewel It is a low-key community that actually works. Oh, I wish I could move back. My heart longs for it.

This place is a waste on so many levels. Where to begin, ah yes, overpriced, that's always a good way to start. Their reason for high prices is that they make a big deal out of their faculty which is pretty much the same as most evangelical seminaries like, RTS, GCTS, Westminster California, TEDS, Talbot, Palmer, BTS, Asbury, and RES. Keep in mind and be cautious that most of the people at WTS are pretty much a narrow minded fundamentalist cult, who thinks they've figured it all out and they're the only ones endowed with truth. The place is a complete fantasy world, a little bubble in the US, think M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village". Also, most of the people here are extremely weird and have zero social skills. If you are somewhat normal stay away, your experience will be torturous, you would think you've entered the twilight zone. No one should have this experience while learning about Christianity or supposedly being around Christians. Also, most people here, unfortunately are arrogant, pompous, superficial, hypocritical, and duplicitous. The End!

I've attended Westminster Seminary for a year now. It has been an incredible blessing to me. Each of the professors work diligently to teach God's word faithfully and do so in a way that is at the same time challenging and pastoral toward the students. So far there has not been a class that I did not find spiritually encouraging and enriching on both academic and practical levels. Westminster remains committed to the Orthodox principles laid out in the Westminster Confession of Faith, (such as the importance of the inerrancy of Scripture), at the faculty and classroom level at a time when this is uncommon for many Christian seminaries. I would highly recommend this seminary for those interested in a strong teaching and understanding of the Orthodox Christian Faith in the lines of Augustine, Calvin, Turretin, Vos, Bavinck, Van Til, Warfield, and of course, Machen.

When I initially went to Westminster, thinking that I would be challenged in my faith and intellect, I could not have prepared myself for the ways in which I was actually challenged. Westminster was undergoing something of a political turmoil as I entered there. The faculty and staff were divided over the writing of Professor Peter Enns. This created a toxic environment at the Seminary. And Enns was only the tip of the iceberg. After not a few questionable political moves, two other professors were dismissed; one professor being moved to "retire." It is finally the unchristian handling of these things that moves me to caution all those who are thinking to attend this seminary. Westminster is not a place where you will grow spiritually, unless you wish to grow by choosing to undergo a time of trial. Toxic is the word that must be used again. I would not waste my money by going to Westminster.

A student of Westminster will not be properly educated. Many primary sources (viz. Augustine) will be scarcely read, and if one does not sign a restrictive confessional statement then one risks either 1) losing one's scholarship (students), or 2) losing one's job (professors).
