RULES OF USAGE
The Geary County USD 475 Facebook Page is provided for the school district community by the USD 475 Communications Department. We will update this page as often as possible to share as much of the special events and student and staff achievements that take place every day at USD 475.

All posting of comments on this page are at the discretion of the page administrators. The intent of this policy is not to prevent any certain type of comment from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of USD 475 staff and students. Naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed. The page administrators will review all postings to make sure they do not conflict with the rules established by the district regarding Internet access and social media practices.

We welcome and encourage your input on the USD 475 facebook page - however, we will not leave up postings that:

1. Break the law or encourage others to do the same. This includes adherence to copyright and fair use laws. If you are using somebody else's work, please reference the source.

2. Contain abusive or inappropriate language. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic and sexist as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit.

3. Easily identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms.

4. Do not show proper consideration for others' privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke others.

5. Are spam – i.e. repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising/promoting a service or product. Let's leave the focus of page postings to center on USD 475 only.

The page administrators reserve the right to remove any comments at any time, for any reason.
