I love Dr. Myers and his vet tech Casey. Dr. Myers is extremely knowledgeable and a great practitioner. He spends all the time that is needed to explain every detail. My animals love Casey and she is very knowledgeable too. The whole staff is friendly and accommodating.

So I decided to take my precious rough Collies down to the Wheelersburg Animal Hospital. It would of been closer for us. I have been going to Dr. Abbott in Flatwoods. They have been wonderful, but further than Wheelersburg. The experience was bad from the start. They did not perform well at all in getting their past records, nor express the care and concern for their history over the phone. Then the date came for Shadows visit. He is due for an annual heartworm test and rabies shots. Only two pets in the lobby at the time of entry, but it took 30 min to get back in the exam room. People were coming and going with pets once we go back there, like pit stops. I could hear them and eventually see them when I opened the door. Shadow and I then sat in the exam room for another 30 minutes. Then I just opened the exam room door and watched what everyone was doing. Nobody seemed to care when they looked in at us. Finally a woman came in and said hi, "who do we have here". Wearing that purple lipstick and looking goth, I was not sure she was the Doctor or not. I told her we have been waiting in this exam room for 30 min, she said "thats about right" . She was not prepared, did not know Shadows name, nor did she know why we were here, or have his past history records in hand. Lots of various shots lined the exam room counter destined for Shadow possibly and placed there by the other person who showed us in. She did not show the respect and care that Flatwoods shows. And I will not allow shoddy skills such as this to inject my companions with anything. I stood up and walked out. The comment someone made about "just want y our money" appears to be true. I have never had this happen to me or my Collies before. Back to the lovin', caring folks at Flatwoods Colonial animal Clinic I went. Dr. Abbott is a professorial. Beware if you go to Wheelersburg folks.
