Friendly adorable cheese shop. Lots of imported cheeses with some of my local favorites including Cowgirl Creamery. The staff was quite knowledgeable and helpful. Made me a small cheese tray to take back to the camp site for appetizers. They have my recommendation.

This isn't just a place to go for a bite of cheese. You should go to learn about cheese! She is a master cheese maker and teacher of international scope. She has cheeses you won't find elsewhere unless you happen to visit Carmel (amazing cheese shop there!). Generous tastings, great variety. Hours are a bit odd so check first, and parking can be sketchy. When visiting downtown Nevada City it is best to pre-plan your parking in the public lot and make a nice stroll of it so you aren't uneasy about dropping in at several shops.

If you like high quality cheese, both domestic and imported this place is a religious experience. They also have a good selection of other food item's, like Llano seco heirloom beans.

Excellent place to go if you like cheese! They have everything you could want. Today I took my office staff for a cheese tasting and it was AWESOME!! Very reasonably priced, great variety, we learned a lot about the process and history of cheese and we just enjoyed it thoroughly! An ABSOLUTE MUST DO in Nevada City!!
