It is what it is, and the icon ratings are relative to the place being what it is: a spacious diner. Everything is big and plain and perfect. I had an omelette with a coffee and a water at 1:00 in the afternoon. It was served with toast, and I got a chocolate pie for dessert. I took half of my food home and had a full-on second meal. No complaints from my burger-eating companions either. There is a vaguely train depot theme depicted by the decór, hence the name.

The ideal home town cafe. Love the people. True enough it isn't the fanciest place but to me it's just right!

Went looking for a classic country diner breakfast while waiting for friends who were diving @ bonne terre mine. This place totally fit the bill for atmosphere and the food wasn't too bad either. My western omelet was delicious, dripping with cheesy goodness. The hashbrowns on the other hand seemed that they were cooked earlier in the morning and had been waiting under a hot light making the soft parts soggy and the crispy parts hard. My son's pancakes and eggs were excellent though and the waitress was attentive and friendly. They do allow smoking so you have to tolerate the smell of cigarette smoke with the smell of coffee but I feel that makes it all the more of a kitschy diner.
