This is my second visit to Whole Foods since Amazon took over (first visit was last month) and I am greatly disappointed.  Usually at this time of year and for all holidays, this store does not hold back.  They are fun, festive, and bright!  I usually start my holiday off with a visit to the Fleet St. store for Christmas flowers and one of their wonderful apple pies.  Today and last month (for Thanksgiving) the store was bare and bland; just like any other day in there.  Plus there was no apple pie.  There were a few lights and some garland but nothing like it used to be.  Part of the fun in shopping there was the energy and electricity I felt when I walked in.  The store doesn't even smell good anymore.  And the prices are not cheaper.  Amazon just stuck a knife in it.

I thought buying a gluten and lactose free ready made items would be easy here. The bakery had about 100 tags in a bunch to leaf through to find appropriate ingredients. When you found one, it wasn't available. Nobody was around to ask for help.  It was frustrating.

Loved Whole Foods before Amazon took over. This location has a great staff. They have always been friendly, helpful, and professional. Amazon has done a horrible job of providing food to stock the shelves and dumbing down the organic and healthy products. I hope they either change their policies or a new local small organic grocery store opens close by soon.

Other than the prices of Whole Paycheck... i mean Whole Foods... this is the average everyday Whole Foods location. The people are very nice usually. Nothing really much to review. Lunch times are ALWAYSSSSSSS busy. 

So if you need food at lunch try to go at like 1130am or 100 - 130pm. Other than that, warm up your words with friends app, or other favorite game because you'll be standing in line for a while.

Store has a great layout, generous aisles for a city grocer, and interesting products. While prices are still high in some areas, such as $8.99/lb. for the hot bar and Dave's bread selling for $1 more than elsewhere, there are many other reasonable prices throughout. Real, fresh coffee (not a machine or carafe) available, an excellent cheese section that has sampling, and ample checkout lanes to keep things moving.
